Combilift CS Pedestrian Stacker Wins Prestigious 2020 IFOY Award
Combilift’s CS pedestrian stacker has won the prestigious International materials handling industry award from Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) award in the category of ‘warehouse lowlifter of the year 2020’.
The IFOY awards are one of the materials handling industries prestigious and hotly contested awards which aim to honour the best products and solutions manufacturers have to offer.
Finalist products in each category are put through stringent IFOY audits and innovation checks carried out by both industry experts and journalists from leading industry publications and media from nineteen countries.
They tested and evaluated the units and equipment on a wide range of criteria including:

Members of the IFOY jury said:
“The Combi-CS is a really compact smart pedestrian operated truck and a nice hands-on solution. It offers significant added value in terms of narrow aisle operation and safety in confined environments. It is a customer-focussed solution with a very high level of market relevance.”
Due to current global circumstances the award ceremony took place virtually this year, Combilift CEO and co-founder Martin McVicar when accepting Combilift’s award said:
“On behalf of the whole Combilift team I am delighted to receive the IFOY 2020 award and proud that the IFOY jury has recognised the value of this innovative product for the intralogistics sector. This is also the 30th major industry award that Combilift has won for its products or services so it is cause for even more celebration.”
The Combilift CS is the only counterbalance pedestrian stacker that is able to operate in a standard reach truck width aisle for space saving and productive storage and handling.
The unit’s main innovative feature is its internationally patented multi-position tiller arm which can be manoeuvred to the left or right of the unit to position the rear drive wheel allowing the operator to stand in the safest position possible to the side of the unit, instead of directly behind it like most other stackers.
The ability for the operator to stand beside the unit whilst turning the tiller arm provides maximum safety when picking up or placing goods in aisles.
By allowing the operator to stand to the side of the unit they are able to better view the load as it is being picked up or set down, whilst also ensuring that the operator cannot become stuck between the unit and the racking if an accident were to occur in a narrow aisle or confined space.
